I have a christmas tree bud not "budded" this spring???????? - dog discolouration of mouth

I have a beautiful Christmas tree in my garden that I was about 4 Christmas planted about 1 foot small, but now has more than 5 feet .... new shoots, which are newly formed every spring since, but this year has failed, even though the water was good as last year with the flooding problem ...... It is therefore possible that a Christmas tree may be lost for a while, in this question because it seems / seemed very healthy because they skate without falling over 4years Browning / or needle discoloration ?????? ?. ....... concerned because it was planted in memory of our deceased dog, and also a sign of great ... PLEASE HELP
